£30bn Crossrail 2 construction briefing day

Transport for London is planning a Crossrail 2 major briefing day in mid-September for the construction industry.

The London event will set out long and short-term plans for the £30bn project to give consultants, contractors and suppliers an insight into how they might get involved in the mega-project.

The Crossrail 2 project team will give an overview of objectives, challenges and current priorities as well as highlight the procurement activity planned to enable the preparation of an Hybrid Bill for 2019.

This will include current thinking with regard to engaging the supply chain in the development of the delivery strategy.

The award of new contracts for the next stage of design development is subject to approval of the strategic outline business case in early 2017.

Crossrail 2 Industry event

Transport for London will be hosting the industry event on Wednesday 14 September from 8:30am-1pm at its premises in London.

Suppliers can register their interest by email at this address marked for the attention of Arvinder Birdi by 15 August.

Firms need to provide full company name, company registration number and key contact details accompanied by a short description (no more than 100 words) of their company’s capabilities in regards to the scope.
