Currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work for a UK main contractor on a major project.

Requirements:

Degree qualified with career spanning more than 3 years, working on a wide variety of infrastructure construction projects.

Has extensive knowledge of Construction and Engineering Contracts NEC Option C – Target Cost with Activity Schedule for the main contract. For the management of Sub-Contracts I utilized NEC Option C Sub Contract for Tier 1 “framework” subcontractors and NEC Option A Sub Contract – Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.

Multi-discipline preferred but all experience will be considered

Particular need for any prior experience with rail and bridges

Responsibilities:
• Weekly Profit and Loss accounts.
• Weekly subcontractor payments based on work production. These payments also included the allocation of contra charges for material and plant purchased by the subcontractor through Enterprise.
• Monthly production report for subcontractor work done
• Monitoring of initial target cost usage.
• Production of monthly applications for payment from Thames Water.
• Participation in one to one meetings with the subcontractors.
• Providing assistance with interim valuations and final accounts.
• Obtaining all documentation for legitimate subcontractor account set up, liability insurance, account details, CIS etc
• Weekly value statements for analysis of value of work done for Enterprise and subcontractors based on production.
• Ensuring measures for street works are correct which I achieve through strong relations with the operations team.
