Contract Manager – Highways

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Contract Manager to join their expanding Surfacing Division working out of the Head Office based in Swindon.

You will be working for a well-established business that provides high quality asphalt and bitumen surfacing solutions throughout the South West of England to a wide range of clients ranging from large multi-national contractors, local authorities to civil engineering companies and smaller independent local builders.

Responsibilities:

• Management of current projects both operationally and commercially
• Programming & Budgeting for new and existing works
• Assisting with Tenders for future works Contracts Manager
• Management of current workload
• Programming for current and future works
• Writing RAMS (Method Statements & Risk Assessments)
• Planning of work load • Budget & Costs
• Assisting with tendering for future works
• Programming works for tenders
• Client liaison/stakeholder engagement
• Reporting to the operations director Contracts Manager (Surfacing)

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
• Experience with bitumen/asphalt surfacing
• Experienced Contracts Manager
• Excellent communication and people and team management skills
