We have an immediate requirement for an Mechanical (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineer to work for a major engineering contractor in the North. There is a major preference toward chartered engineers. They specialise in large engineering projects ranging from the design and build of green power stations, railway infrastructure and structural projects working across the UK rail network and building and maintaining complex suspension bridges.

The purpose of the project is the design and construction of major Network Rail stations including step-free access works, new footbridges, mechanical handlingaccess gantries and associated civils works. The project is underway and due to complete in Q1 of 2020.

Reporting to the Project Director, the core duties will include:

  • Overseeing and delivering ME activities on site
  • Planning upcoming works on short term programmes
  • Providing support to the Planning Manager for the project programme.

We are looking for a candidate to start asap to replace the previous incumbent.

Candidates should have PTS, CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS.

We are seeking PERM candidates only at this time.

Salary dependent upon skills/experience but package will include car/allowance + contributory pension and healthcare.
