Senior Environmental Advisers Civils

We have an exciting and rare opportunity to work on a Large Major Civil Engineering project for a Tier 1 award winning Contractor worth £1.9bn project.
The six-year construction programme will start in March on the latest phase of the £1bn LPT2 project which will see 32.5km of tunnel built to house electricity transmission cables 30 metres underground.
The new cables will replace three circuits that currently run under the surface of roads between Wimbledon in the southwest to Crayford in the southeast.
They have a need to recruit a Senior Environmental Advisor to join the team for this project on a fixed term contract until 2024
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working on large civils schemes, major projects background, either within heavy civils, tunnelling, earthworks, highways or rail infrastructure.
Duties:
Set and maintain standards of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) practice and deliver relevant awareness training to internal staff and contractors
Ensure SHEQ procedures are regularly developed to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations
Promote individual awareness of the importance of SHEQ and to create an environment that generates automatically, a high focus on health and SQE awareness
Provide advice and support management teams, employees and those working with us supporting 100% SAFE and our total commitment to a sustainable business
Carry out appropriate monitoring at work locations
Liaise with regulatory authorities and professional bodies
The work will include:
Large Earthworks
Major tunnelling
Concrete works.
Shaft construction.
