Quantity Surveyor

A great opportunity has opened for a experienced Quantity Surveyor to undertake a busy role within the company. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director, the ideal candidate will have the ability to manage a number of developments at any one time.

– The Surveyor appointed is expected to carry out commercial activities including but limited to:

a) The tendering of subcontract packages including analysis of received quotation and production of subcontract orders for Commercial Directors” approval.

b) The tendering of material packages including analysis or received quotations and production of purchase orders for Commercial Directors’ approval.

c) The checking of and subsequent processing of subcontractor applicants for payment and supplier invoices.

d) The analysis and determination of subcontract variations and supplier extras and the reporting of such to the Commercial Director.

– The surveyor must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
– The surveyor must have an through understanding of residential development and the processes adopted by house builders.
– The Surveyor must be able to carry out material take offs and schedule components for tendering and for checking quotations received.
– Excellent time and people management.
