We are a successful Tier 1 contractor with  the resources and expertise to undertake a wide variety of rail-based development and construction projects. These projects encompass the Signalling, Power and Communications sectors within mainline railways and urban mass transit systems in the UK & Ireland. We are keen to recruit and train motivated, enthusiastic and committed people to join our multi-disciplinary specialist teams.

As Senior Signalling Design Engineer CRE with a Multi-disciplinary Infrastructure Contractor you will work on a major Network Rail CP6 framework projects. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for leading and checking detailed technical drawings for successful approval of signalling construction.

Role and requirements

·Undertake signalling principles design work.

·Check junior colleagues work and mentor them.

·Ensure work is completed on schedule and budget.

·Work with Signalling Testers to ensure designs meet project requirements.

·Act as CRE on designated projects.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

·IRSE Signalling Principles Design license 1.1.550 and ideally IRSE Verifier license 1.1.160 IRSE Verifier Licence.

·Previous experience designing signalling for Network Rail

·Experience in Grip 4-8 detailed and support for construction.

·RRI interlocking experience most desirable.

·Team leader with good attention to detail
