A leading glazed partitioning contractor that specialise in the high end commercial fit out market have an excellent opportunity for a Production Co-Ordinator to join them on a permanent basis, based from their offices in Central London.
The company turnover circa £25m and provide a range of bespoke solutions up to £6m in value to a number of leading clients in the industry. They provide a range of glazed partitioning, aluminium extrusions, drywall and joinery doorset packages, automatic sliding glass door systems, glazed fire screens and doorsets, switchable glass, back painted glass and LED edge-lite glass.
With over £20m of contracts secured for the next year, they are extremely busy and as a result are looking to strengthen their Operations team by bringing in a Production Co-Ordinator. The Production Co-Ordinator will ultimately be responsible for the planning and monitoring of production materials within the supply chain:
Key Responsibilities:
- Production planning using in house systems as well as MS Project and MS Excel
- Tracking daily deliveries and identifying shortages
- Attending regular production meetings and project progress meetings
- Working with the contracts and wider operations teams on aspects of project planning and logistics
- Vehicle planning and logistics
- Procurement of raw materials working with a large pool of external suppliers
- Expediting and elevating urgent requirements when appropriate
- Quantifying and checking material on site
- Contributing towards and developing KPI and production data reports
Criteria:
- Background in construction materials and construction programmes is preferable
- Able to understand technical drawings and basic methods of manufacturing is preferable
- Responsible, organised and a great communicator
- Experience dealing with suppliers from a manufacturing background would be beneficial
- A good eye for detail and happy to attend factory and site environments to carry out quality checks when required
- A self-starting mentality with strong initiative and a service attitude
- Able to work alone as well as part of a wider team
- High level of computer literacy
