Our client who is a Civil Engineering highway maintenance contractor that operates across the UK is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manager a variety of Civil Engineering Highways Schemes. You will be working across the Midlands, reporting to the Regional Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agent, Engineers, Foreman and Sub Contractors.

The ideal candidate:

Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
Previous experience of Highways/Roads and Design Reactive and planned Maintenance
Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team
Responsibilities:
To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction
Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance company reputation and look to further business
To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager
