Sales Manager – Cladding/Facade Construction

My client is an established construction company who have expanded their business and currently seeking an experienced sales manager/business development manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be working hand-in-hand with the director on expanding the company further.

Reporting into the Director;

It is essential that the ideal candidate is a pro-active and enterprising individual.The role will require the candidate to look for new opportunities, establish new leads, as well as convert existing leads. The role will be varied and cover (amongst others), the following:

1.Researching; new sales avenues, as well as new companies and other contacts

2.Keep up to date with competitors’ activities and industry news.

3.Pitching to potential clients

4.Cold calling

5.Attending events

6.Visiting sites (across the UK).This could be to establish new leads, monitor existing leads, monitor progress of Company activity on site.

7.Maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels within the Company and with all sister companies, as well as externally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and third parties.

8.Where management of staff is required, the candidate would need to lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff.

9.Monitoring sales performance and reporting to the director.

Mandatory skills & experience:

·Prior experience in sales and business development

·IT skills; competent in Word & Excel

·Excellent spoken English

·Have his/her own car

Availability:

·Full time; 9:00– 17:00pm, Monday to Friday

·Offices based in Paddington (4 minutes’ walk from the station, no parking available).

Remuneration:

up to £40k basic salary (DOE)

Travel and expenses paid for

Uncapped earnings on typically six & seven figure sales contracts

OTE £80k-£100k
