Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description:
Reporting to the Area Manager you will have responsibility for the quantity surveying, contractual and commercial support, within the South East region, dealing with a high turnover of small contracts (ranging from £3k – £1million).

Essentially you should have previous experience in a similar role (ideally for a contractor or specialist sub contractor), within the construction/civil engineering industry, with a high level of financial/numeracy skills, good attention to detail and a sound working knowledge and experience of; different forms of contracts, contract law, dispute resolution and litigation, claim management, commercial management, insurance requirements in the construction industry and the key elements of corporate and construction legislation.  In addition, successful candidates will need to be fully conversant with Standard Methods of Measurement and Rules of Valuations.

We anticipate that interested parties will either have a QS/Commercial Management related degree or be qualified through experience.

Due to the nature of the role, individuals will require a full driving licence and the flexibility and confidence to travel to off site meetings as required, with the possibility of occasional nights away from home.
