Senior Works Manager – Highways

Our client that is major international group working within the construction engineering and highways services sector working within the UK are now  looking for an experienced Senior Works Manager to work across the South East region. Areas include; Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Surrey.

Along with supporting the operations and maintenance teams across all areas, you will be involved in the programming, planning and delivery on multiple schemes.

You will be responsible for the management of staff, preparation of reports, budgets and forecasts. You will be managing the three operational depots ensuring all works are carried out on daily basis and are up to standard.

Holding regular meetings with the Works Managers, Operations and Maintenance Manager with regards to updates & progress, developing and maintaining annual programmes.

Ensuring additional works and compensation events are recorded & reported.

Have a sound working knowledge of legislation in relation to operations and maintenance of motorway networks along with the ability to assess and evaluate suppliers & subcontractors.

You will also manage team performance with an emphasis on promoting team work and leading on  Environmental, Health & Safety and Training matters.

You will have the ability to build strong working relationship with the Client and stakeholders.

• Excellent organisational and multi‐tasking skills and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working hours, should it be necessary to work outside of the core working hours.
• Collaborative, self-organisation and planning skills essential.
• Ability to convey messages through emails, meetings & presentations
• Highway experience
• CSCS Gold card required
• Clean Driving Licence
