Highways England has awarded 21 specialist contractors and suppliers packages on its asset delivery contract in the South West.

The new suite of 13 specialist packages is worth £290m.

Highways England’s new delivery arrangements cover a host of works including general civil engineering, specialist drainage and technology.

The framework, which begins on 1 July will run for up to four years.

These are the last in a series of three asset delivery contracts in the region.

Under asset delivery arrangements, Highways England will now take direct responsibility for managing both routine maintenance and the delivery of capital renewal and improvement schemes.
